Living With RA

Stefanie is a Rheumatoid Arthritis patient and coach who has been living with the disease for seven years. She had always been active and healthy, but after her first pregnancy, she woke up one morning in excruciating pain. She says that every task seemed impossible, and she felt like she was fighting back against the disease every day. Stefanie's story is not uncommon. Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune condition that affects over 1.5 million Americans. It is characterized by inflammation of the joints, resulting in pain and stiffness. For those who suffer from it, the disease can be debilitating—but not everyone succumbs to its effects! Stefanie refused to let RA get her down! With hard work and determination, she found ways to manage her symptoms and keep going about her day-to-day life with grace and dignity. Now, Stefanie helps others do the same thing through teaching them how to manage their symptoms so they can stay active and healthy despite their condition.
