About Us
Dr. Elizabeth Morris Turnage, Advocate and Consultant
Dr. Turnage is a retired public school special education teacher and administrator with decades of expertise. She offers specific expertise regarding services available to your child through public school districts and private schools. Dr. Turnage has extensive experience as a special education teacher and administrator. She served in public education for twenty-six years. Prior to her retirement in 2015, Dr. Turnage served as Director of Legal and Policy for Special Student Services in the second largest school district in the state of Georgia.
Since retiring, Dr. Turnage has been serving families of students with disabilities as an educational advocate and consultant with The Kline Law Firm, LLC. In addition, she is the founder of Turnage Advocacy Group. Dr. Turnage brings a wealth of knowledge regarding special education and Section 504 planning and programming as well as specific expertise in IDEA and Section 504 compliance. Additionally, Dr. Turnage is an expert in file review regarding IEPs, school district generated progress reports, educational data, work samples, private school education records, as well as public school evaluations and privately obtained evaluations.
