A word from Sherrie Maricle: When I went to The DIVAJazz Orchestra audition in June of 1992, it never occurred to me that I would be leading the band for the next 30+ years. From our first performance on March 30th, 1993, through the incredible worldwide performances we’ve had since, it still feels like a dream to be at the helm of this amazing band. I’ve spent more than half of my life with The DIVA Jazz Orchestra, and my heart is filled with reverence and gratitude for every musician, fan, guest artist, and friend who’s been part of our journey and inspired us to keep swinging for more than 3 decades. Enjoy this look at 30 years of DIVA history.
