An Inspiration & Guidance: Become A Cyclist Like Him

Alex Edmondson has achieved a lot of fame, rewards, tittles and money at the age of 27. He even became the youngest cyclist to make an Australian Olympic Team. bike
1. Get Ready to Train
Before getting into the actual training, make sure you check on some tasks and purchases for your safety and optimum results. These are: • Do not forget to tune-up and fix worn parts such as tires, chain and brake pads so that you can train yourself hard like a pro. • Install a good bike fit as it can reduce the numbness in the hands, help you ride comfortably and also alleviate pain in the knees and lower back. • Always wear a helmet because safety comes first. • Make sure you have padded cycling shorts and try to avoid cotton or moisture-wreaking fabrics.
2. Focus on Your Ride
When you begin, it is good to ride for 30 to 60 minutes two to five times a week. This will boost your cycling-based fitness. Focus on your breathing rate and spend time at improving it day by day. Stick to this stage for another two to six weeks, depending on your potential and fitness level.
The goal of focusing on your ride is to develop muscle memory of the long stroking movements and ensuring you can move your body in unison to achieve harmony while you peddle. A true cyclist in someone that moves in unison with the equipment, cutting through air and moving at a uniform rate.
3. Join the Group
Biking alone is never fun, which is why we conduct routine biking expeditions and races. Whether you are an ace biker, a beginner or amateur, we can help you ride alone many others sharing the same passion for cycling. It is good to go on group rides one to three times a week to explore new skills of cycling. You can ask local bike shops and join short 15 to 30 km rides that average 20 kmph. Learn drafting by riding within half a bike length. Make sure you keep your head up to control pace changes and learn the best ways to maintain a steady distance between your front wheel and the back wheel.
4. Include Intervals
In these phases and training, your speed as well as endurance will improve quickly. However, to level up your skills, you need to boost your ride frequency until you are riding three to five times a week. You should challenge yourself and increase your endurance with each passing day. It is good to ride six minutes at a very challenging intensity. Count it as one interval and do this three more times to complete the set. This will improve your potential and power you up for longer climbs.
5. Improve your Pedaling Mechanisms
Do three minute intervals by spinning a small gear without bouncing in the saddle. This will boost your breathing rate. Ride steady for three minutes between intervals. Do this six times and improve your cardiovascular health as well. Cycling requires core strength and good stamina, which you must build with regular practice. Ride your bike whenever you can and use the right pedalling mechanism and techniques to make the most out of your sessions. Besides honing your technique, make sure to relax and eat well to have peace of mind and a nourished body to sustain the physical activity well.
6. Be Consistent
Consistency is what that can help you become a successful cyclist. So, train yourself hard, focus on your goals and keep improving your endurance potential. Challenges will keep you stay on track throughout your journey.
Understand motion, how your body reacts to the equipment and how confident you feel with each peddle to make sure you can cycle like a pro. To be consistent, you must practise as much as possible.
